Village Market

Village Market is a "general store" which provides a friendly hub for buying a wide variety of staples, along with convenience items. The shop specialises in pasta, grains, mustards, vinegars, sauces and spices and has a great selection of hard to find and specialty beer. There are many local California products, such as jams and honey, and a well-considered selection of miscellaneous items that range from skewers to canning jars. There are cookies, chips, snacks and bottled water that commuters can pick up quickly on a dash to catch the ferry. Special niche sections include items for kids including organic baby foods. The shop is owned and managed by business partners Kamron Beikzadeh – who has the acclaimed Village Market in the Richmond District, and Bishara (Bob) Mudawar – who has been the owner of the Napoli Market in North Beach for many years. In pooling their expertise, they stock many products they know to be popular, including many organic product lines.
